Synopsis
After the outbreak of the May 4th Movement, Li Dazhao, Chen Duxiu and others discussed China’s crisis and the way out, and put forward the idea of saving China with Marxism. The National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held on a cruise ship in Nanhu Lake. Thirteen representatives including Mao Zedong came together with the common goal of reforming China. After the meeting, they went their separate ways, spreading seeds across the vast land of China. Subsequently, Zhou Enlai, Cai Hesen, Xiang Jingyu, Qu Qiubai and others successively became the backbone of the party’s leadership. The early Chinese Communists, mainly represented by Mao Zedong, have always adhered to their original aspirations. After decades of hardships and twists and turns, they fought one after another and fought bloody battles. Finally, on 1st October 1949, they boarded the Tiananmen Tower in Beijing to hold the founding ceremony of New China. The play depicts the group image of the early Chinese Communists, and shows the history of the Chinese Communist Party’s century of struggle and the red spirit spectrum.
